Graduation Party - 2009At last this happy and exciting day of parting with the gymnasium has come! On the 14th of June the final graduation party for the nine- and eleven-formers who got the certificates about the base secondary education and general secondary education took place. |

Meeting students from UllevalscholeFrom the 4th through the 8th of May, 2009 Scandinavian Gymnasium hospitably met the students of the partner Ulleval school in Oslo. Having made the acquaintance of the Kyiv students in September the students from Norway accepted an invitation to visit Kyiv in May. |

“Northern Lights” The Vikings: Start on a Journey.On April, 24 the traditional “Northern Lights” festival of Scandinavian countries took place at Scandinavian Gymnasium. The Ambassador of Finland, Christer Mikkelson , the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark, Uffe Balslev, representatives of the Embassies of Sweden, Norway, representatives of public authorities, international organizations, funds, Scandinavian organizations and enterprises operating in Ukraine, teachers, and mass media visited the gymnasium. |

The Model of the United Nations Organization. Scandy - 2009From the 6th through the 22nd of April a game "The Model of the United Nations Organization. Scandy - 2009" took place in Scandinavian Gymnasium. About 100 students of 7-9 forms took part in the game. |

The ²V Regional Conference "The UN Model. Kyiv - 2009"On March, 24 the Scandinavian Gymnasium team took part in the fourth regional conference of senior pupils "The Model of the United Nations Organization". The main aim of the game was to form communicative, political, social and leadership competences, to bring international problems to students’ knowledge by means of enlisting the support of embassies, diplomatic and international organizations. |

Kiruna Meets KyiversFrom the 9th through the 14th of December the students of Scandinavian Gymnasium visited Kiruna, the northernmost city of Sweden where our partner school Högalingskola is situated. Visiting this city the students had an opportunity to see a mine where the iron ore is mined, a hotel built of snow and ice, the Institute of Space Physics and to take part in the traditional holiday of Santa Lucia. |

Santa Lucia in UkraineOn December, 13 the traditional Swedish holiday of Santa Lucia was celebrated at Scandinavian Gymnasium. The students of our school were invited at the same time to the Embassy of Sweden and to Sony Ericsson company office where the students took part in a wonderful festival. |

The Norwegian Crownprincess Mette-Marit Visited Scandinavian GymnasiumHer Royal Highness Mette-Marit, Crownprincess of Norway, on October, 22 visited Scandinavian Gymnasium. She came to Kyiv as an Ambassador Special of the United Nations Organization to visit organizations attending to HIV/AIDS infected. In spite of her sickness the Princess enjoyed the visit to our gymnasium. |

Finnish – Ukrainian ExhibitionFrom the 10th through the 12th of October the students of our gymnasium took part in the Finnish-Ukrainian exhibition of children works "Magic Fairy-Tales" which took place under the auspices of the Embassy of Finland in Ukraine and the "Little Prince" art studio. |

Hello, Vekshö!According to the agreement about collaboration between Katedralskola (Vekhö, Sweden) and Scandinavian Gymnasium in September, 2008 an exchange of students took place. From the 19th through the 27th of September the students of the 10-11th forms were invited to the families of their friends in Sweden. |
