Danish Christmas at Scandinavian Gymnasium

Danish Christmas at Scandinavian Gymnasium

On Tuesday, December the 14th the guest from Denmark, Rite Verner Nilsen, Master of History and Pedagogics conducted a lesson of the Danish language in the 9A and 10A forms of our gymnasium. The lesson was devoted to history and traditions of Christmas celebrations in Denmark. It began with the presentation - the students listened to Christmas songs, tasted the real Danish festive delicacies.

Rite taught the students to make traditional Danish Christmas decorations – paper garlands and wattled hearts - the idea of which belongs to Hans Christian Andersen, the famous Danish story-teller. We look forward to the next meeting with Rite Verner Nilsen in January.
