Holiday of Christmas Carols
On January the 15th the actors of Kyiv Academic Theatre of Ukrainian Folklore “Beregynya” (water nymph) visited Scandinavian Gymnasium. Their spectacular show which reproduced the winter holiday cycle enchanted the students. Together with the students the actors of the theater plunged into the magical world of Ukrainian past. Christmas carols and folk dances created festive mood and the sense of belonging to Ukrainian folk traditions.
We hope to meet the actors of the “Beregynya” theater in future because the work of this group clearly reflects the mentality of the Ukrainian people.
