The “Beaver” International Competition in Informatics
On November 12, 2012 the students of the gymnasium for the first time took part in "Beaver-2012", the contest in informatics and computer literacy. The event is supported by the Department of General Secondary and Pre-School Education of the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports, and the Institute of Innovative Technologies and Content of Education.
The objective of this competition is to increase intellectual ICT competencies of the students, to arouse their interest and to familiarize the students with modern information and computer technologies. The International "Beaver" Competition is quickly gaining popularity. In 2010 the competition attracted 137 thousand students from 11 countries, in 2011 - 372 thousand students from 17 countries. 67 4-11-form students took part in the competition "Beaver-2012." The students enjoyed fulfilling the tasks, solving the problems and are looking forward to the results.
